The EVAC-U-SPLINT Pediatric Mattress is designed to mold the child’s specific body contours, providing a secure cradle that is both supportive and comfortable for the child’s full body. The child is held securely and comfortably in neutral alignment, which helps to reduce struggling, fear, and anxiety that EMS professionals commonly encounter with pediatric patients.

The EVAC-U-SPLINT Pediatric Mattress has four large built-in padded handles making it easy to lift and carry. Children can be transported in a supine position, or a 30 degree elevated torso position. It has been designed to accommodate children in the 2-10 year age group, and has a load capacity of 75 pounds. Best of all, the mattress, carrying case, and pump weigh only a combined 9.2 pounds.

It is fast, effective, and easy to use even with gloves on. An audible click ensures a positive connection even in low-light conditions. Evacuation time is less than 20 seconds using the durable, very efficient all-aluminum manual pump with foot stirrup. A heavy-duty dual-wall braided hose is included. The EVAC-U-SPLINT also has side release buckles for rapid and secure patient restraint.

The EVAC-U-SPLINT set has durable outer fabric shells constructed of vinyl laminate that is both flexible and abrasion-resistant in order to provide years of dependable service. When cleaning the mattress, remember to always place the leashed cap over the MaxiValve prior to cleaning. You can use soap and water, a mild detergent or a commercial cleaner/disinfectant. Never place the EVAC-U-SPLINT in a washing machine.
