The Eastern PA EMS Council will soon be hosting the 2010 Pocono EMS Conference in Pocono Manor, Pennsylvania. The conference will be held from October 22-24, 2010 at The Inn at Pocono Manor. This is the 16th year that the Eastern PA EMS Council is hosting the event, which offers a variety of training sessions and activities for local EMS organizations throughout the six-county EMS region. This conference should be particularly beneficial, with topics ranging from how to treat insect bites and stings to tips for complying with HIPPA regulations. In addition to specialized training, numerous extracurricular activities and social events will be available as well. A golf tournament will be held on October 21st, and an awards dinner with keynote speaker Director of the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Bureau of EMS Joseph Schmider is scheduled for Saturday evening. There is also going to be a scavenger hunt and a Halloween costume party, which should be a great time for all.
