Penn Care would like to congratulate Springfield Township Fire Department on their new 2010 Chief XL Ford E-450 Type III Braun ambulance! The new ambulance was delivered by Penn Care Vice President, Don Bloom.
Springfield Township Fire Department is an ALS (Advanced Life Support) service managed by Chief Matt Gebheart and Squad Commander Karen Philiban. The department is located at 3475 South Range Road in New Springfield, Ohio and serves southern Mahoning County. Found in 1801, it is a volunteer agency with approximately 40 firefighters, 30 firefighters/paramedics and 7 EMS employees. Operating out of 3 fire stations, the Springfield Township Fire Department runs two ALS ambulances in their coverage area.
The new 2010 Chief XL Ford E-45o Type III Braun ambulance is the third Braun ambulance the department has purchased. They have been a loyal Braun Industries, Inc. customer since 2001. Springfield Township Fire Department continues to invest their EMS funds into Braun ambulances for several reasons. First, they appreciate the quality of a handcrafted ambulance built by Braun. Second, they can work with Penn Care and Braun to build a highly customized emergency vehicle to meet their specific and unique requirements. Lastly, the safety of a Braun ambulance provides peace of mind to the department as its volunteers hit the road day after day to serve people in their community.
