Penn Care recently had the opportunity to deliver a new Medix Silverhawk ambulance to the Menorah Park Center for Senior Living in Beachwood, Ohio. This senior center offers short-term rehabilitation, home health care, physical therapy, adult day care, and a variety of other services for full-time residents and outpatients alike.
With its ever-growing population, the center recently established its own on site emergency medical service to support the large campus. Penn Care sales representative Darryll Headley teamed up with Prentice Lipsey, the Associate Administrator of Menorah Park Center for Senior Living, to provide the new organization with their very first ambulance. Darryll and the staff at Penn Care rose to the occasion when presented with this unique opportunity. Funded by a donation to the center, Menorah Park was able to find a simple, yet highly-functional ambulance for their new service.
The ambulance delivered to Menorah Park is a Medix Silverhawk Ford E-350 Type II. While their ambulance is a standard model, it features custom graphics from Penn Care and a gas engine that provides easier maintenance and a lower initial cost than a diesel engine. Prentice and the staff at Menorah Park were looking for simplicity, durability and affordability, and were more than pleased with their new Silverhawk.
