The SAM IO stabilizer is designed for usage with the SAM IO Driver.
The SAM IO is comprised of the driver and needle assembly. Needle, stylet and catheter placement is achieved by continuously actuating (repeatedly compressing) the driver’s trigger assembly while gently guiding needle assembly into position.
Once catheter assembly and needle assembly is properly positioned, the stylet is removed to expose standard Luer-lock for extension set connection. The needle then enters through the soft tissue of either the proximal humerus, proximal tibia, distal tbia or distal femur (for pediatric use only).

The SAM Stabilizer is available and necessary to protect catheter dislodgement. The innovative cylinder chamber design allows for no needle contact.
