The 58th International Association of Emergency Managers (IAEM) Annual Conference was recently held in San Antonio, Texas. This conference provided information about the latest tools and technologies used in Emergency Management and Homeland Security and offered a forum for discussing current trends and topics. Sessions encouraged stakeholders at all levels of government, the private sector, public health and related professions to exchange ideas on collaborating to protect lives and property in the event of a disaster. Individuals ranging from emergency managers, homeland security officials and first response coordinators to private industry risk managers and contingency planners were in attendance.
Penn Care President Shawn Bryant also took part in the event, and was stationed at the Essex booth along with MEDLOX Group representatives Dick Long and Gerard Russell. Penn Care and MEDLOX have worked in conjunction to offer the innovative new Mass Oxygen Distribution System (MODS), which is revolutionizing the way that organizations supply oxygen to a large number of patients in the event of a disaster.
